So this lovely cake ended up being the demise of my left foot.
I was trying to squeeze around the end of the table and behind my mother when my toe caught the edge of one of these
I went down, I cried, I exclaimed that I just broke my pinky toe (in perfect overly dramatic fashion) and single foot-edly managed to ruin the end of the celebrations.
We went home, I iced, I aleived, I went to bed hoping it would be all better in the morning...
It wasn't. It was purple, it was swollen and I could not put any pressure on it - so off to Avon Urgent Care we went (they know us well) - and three x-rays later I found out I have a Non-displaced fracture of the proximal Phalanx.
Fancy huh!
Simply put - I broke my pinky toe and now I am the proud owner of a pair of these
and this stylish new shoe
and an appointment with an Orthopedic specialsit for later this week!

Ow! Poor little piggy - she really went wah wah wah. I didn't know they could fix pinky toes. I hope you're back in your regular shoes soon. Cute pedi!

Broken toes are the worst! So sorry for the mishap! Rest. But I must say your pedicure is fabulous!

YIKES! At least it was for cake, though. I mean, I'd rather not break my pinky toe at all (and I'm sure you agree...) but if it was going to happen, I'd rather that it happen for the greater good of cake vs. doing the laundry...

I am so glad I am not alone! lol Do it all the time, have broken each toe at least 3 times. It hurts like crazy!
I am a bit in shock that they are sending you to the ortho...was it a REALLY bad break?

And I'm sorry, even pinky toes hurt -- and it's so hard to keep them protected from getting them bumped again. Hang in there!
