It began with a family trip to the local bike shop! Lauren got to pick out her new bike and we got to make sure it fit her right! She loves her new bike and took the hand brakes rather quickly! It has been to watch her ride it!
A couple days later we were off to the Jonas Brothers concert to celebrate her birthday with family and friends! This is a picture of Lauren and her friend Connor! The Pepsi center was great, they even decorated the suite for our little celebration and helped make it special (thanks Jeannie!!)

On her Actual birthday we bought a cake, made spaghetti and opened gifts from us and from Grandma Mary! Grandma Mary sent Lauren a shopping spree in a box! It was SO much fun to watch Lauren opening all the gift cards - she was so full of smiles! What a fantastic present! She also got a "decorate your own t-shirt" from Grandma Mary and I am sure she is going to LOVE making that!
After gifts we had cake! Carrot Cake - at Lauren's request! Yum!

THEN - A couple of evenings later we celebrated with some fireworks on the back patio (legal ones) - we were going to do these the evening of her actual birthday but life and weather got in the way! Lauren organized them all for daddy and we all enjoyed watching!!
On to July 4th, almost a full week after her birthday we gathered for a family picnic of sorts at Uncle Brad and Aunt Anna's house! Here Lauren was greeted with gifts from her Aunt and Uncle and Grams and Gramps!

The above Eiffel tower set was a highlight for Lauren! She even gave Grams "extra thanks" which is highly unusual for Lauren!
all in all I think Lauren had a wonderful birthday! And we all had a great time celebrating with her over and over and over again! And I mean that!
Then we had cake! Grams bought us all a cake! We don't get together for every ones birthday and since most of ours in the summer this was a fun way to celebrate!
The cake photos are courtesy of "him" because I was bit out of commission at this point - more on this fabulous story another day!
Happy 9th Birthday Lauren.
You can stop growing up now.
