Note to self

It is OK to put all your daughters' clothes in your closet and tell her she has lost the right to chose for 1 week because the battle is growing instead of shrinking

It is OK to sit on your computer for 10 minutes or maybe even 60 and do nothing in particular and not tell anyone else either

It is OK to want to publish your stories and it is OK to be nervous about it

It is OK to stop giving when all the giving has run out

It is OK to be afraid of the future and it is OK to be stuck in the now

It is OK to apply to schools for your daughters and it is OK to be nervous about that too

It is OK to want more and it is OK to try to find it

It is OK to dread the Holidays just as much as you enjoy them

It is OK to be yourself and be happy with who that is

(thank you Todd Parr for the inspiration)

I just want to tell that I once packed up every single one of my son's toys due to some behavior issues we were battling. Not only did it work, but he became much more imaginative during that time. Hmm perhaps i should sneak some of his toys away again.

I agree - but the reminder helps! I would add that it is OK to take away all the toys that your daughter would not put away (including her brand new American Girl doll) - at least that is how our weekend went!

It's more than ok to do all those things.

Very nicely said Terra!

I dread the holidays, but love them too. It is something I battle every year.
